Manny Campos

Bridging Education, Industry, and Community for Meaningful Impact

With over 20 years of experience spanning the energy sector, project management, and nonprofit leadership, I am deeply committed to fostering collaboration, resilience, and strategic growth to create lasting change. My career has been driven by a passion for empowering individuals and communities, particularly through education, workforce development, and youth advocacy.

As a leader in both the legacy energy industry and renewables, I bring a unique perspective on aligning education with workforce demands. My work in higher education, including serving as Interim VP of Student Services, has focused on increasing retention, expanding academic and career opportunities, and removing barriers to success. Drawing from my personal journey of navigating a new country, learning a new language, and overcoming challenges, I understand the transformative power of education and mentorship.

Beyond my professional roles, I am deeply involved in nonprofit leadership and community advocacy. I currently serve on the boards of Californians for Energy & Science, Kern County League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 3272, and Diamon in the Rough & Sport Events. I also volunteer with the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) and am an active member of the Rotary Club of Taft and Kiwanis Club of Taft. These roles reflect my dedication to supporting underserved youth, promoting leadership development, and creating pathways to higher education and workforce opportunities.

Through data-driven decision-making and strategic planning, I aim to optimize performance and create measurable impact. Whether in education, nonprofit development, or industry collaboration, my focus is on building stronger institutions, thriving communities, and sustainable solutions.

Teena Crabtree
 

Teena Crabtree is a longtime Taft resident, devoted mother of six, and proud wife. She has been actively involved with Diamond in the Rough for the past three years, serving with a strong commitment to youth advocacy, family-centered values, and community service.

Professionally, Teena is a nonprofit and public-sector administrator with extensive experience in community development, youth programming, and organizational operations. She serves in a senior administrative capacity with the West Side Recreation & Park District, where she supports executive leadership, coordinates programs and capital projects, and assists with grant administration, compliance, and community partnerships.

As Secretary of the Board for Diamond in the Rough, Teena brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role, understanding firsthand the importance of access, opportunity, and support for children and families. Her deep roots in the Taft community, combined with her collaborative and detail-oriented approach, help strengthen programs that remove financial barriers and create meaningful opportunities for local youth.
